So I decided that this year I am going to attempt the photo a day challenge. Its going to get me used to my camera that I spent all this money on and barely use. I really hope.I can do it. So I will start tomorrow I hope.you guys will check my blog out.

The Rainbow Bridge

inspired by a Norse legend

By the edge of a woods, at the foot of a hill,

Is a lush, green meadow where time stands still.

Where the friends of man and woman do run,

When their time on earth is over and done.

For here, between this world and the next,

Is a place where each beloved creature finds rest.

On this golden land, they wait and they play,

Till the Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day.

No more do they suffer, in pain or in sadness,

For here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness.

Their limbs are restored, their health renewed,

Their bodies have healed, with strength imbued.

They romp through the grass, without even a care,

Until one day they start, and sniff at the air.

All ears prick forward, eyes dart front and back,

Then all of a sudden, one breaks from the pack.

For just at that instant, their eyes have met;

Together again, both person and pet.

So they run to each other, these friends from long past,

The time of their parting is over at last.

The sadness they felt while they were apart,

Swimming with Sam

Sam hasnt been doing to well  so one thing we wanted to do one last time was take him swimming which is his favorite thing in the world. Matt found an indoor doggie pool called My Shadow and Me so we made an appointment to take him we had so much fun we brought Sams buddy Jake and his owners Vikki Wess and their son Caleb and they brought their niece to swim too here are some pics 

It was so nice to play with him and swim he's the best dog we could of ever asked for and Im so glad that we got to do this with him

Undecided

I'm at a loss for what to blog about nothing really is going on in my life except snow snow and more snow. I figure that when it gets warmer I can write about all the activities well be doing all summer.

We had to take Sam to the vet to check on his tumor which is the same by the way but hes also lost 6 pounds in less than 2 weeks so we have to go back and see if he is still losing.

On the way home we went to find a few geocaches. Matt has found almost 275 of them. These were just simple ones in parking lots so we didn't have to go through all the snow. Me and Sam sat in the car while Matt went to get them. It was too cold to get out LOL. We were driving towards one and there was another car in the spot that the geocache was at. We sat in the car for a little and then realized that they were fellow geocachers. We haven't ever seen anybody while they were out. They were 2 older ladies that were really nice and even took our picture for their scrap book. Apparently they were in Vegas last week geocaching too. Man I wish I was somewhere warm right now.

I ended up showing Matt where I worked since hes never seen it and then we went home. Matt has a bad cold and my throat is starting to hurt a little so the rest of the weekend will be spent taking care of my sick baby.

See I told you nothing exciting is happening right now.

The weight loss thing didn't really happen this week. I weighed on Monday and had lost 2 pounds in a couple weeks and I didn't eat anything bad till last night when I made the fettuccine I was so excited about. But no exercising. We are trying to plan a trip to Kalahari indoor water park with a big group of people in October so that will be some motivation. We went a few years back and we lost a ton of weight so it will work.

Anyway if anyone has any ideas on what to blog about let me know I'm kinda boring

This is the week

So this is the week Im going to start to get back to my hot bod. I have some trips in the works to get me motivated and I am just tired of seeing the scale going up again and again.

With the huge snow storm coming Im not sure how the working out part will be but Im going grocery shopping on my lunch break tomorrow and buying all healthy food. My only problem is I really want to make this fettuccine Alfredo that is from this restaurant that my dad used to take me to on my birthday called Chutneys.Im going to try to make it as low fat as possible or else it will just be my cheat day of the week.

I will weigh tomorrow and see what happens. If the snow keeps me in hibernation I will just work out with some dvds.

 I am very ready NOW!!!!!!

The Possessed Chipmunk

Matt got Sam this stuffed chipmunk for Christmas. This animal is possessed! Sam will play with it or we will kick it and it lands most of the time it is on its feet.


Its getting to the point where I will walk in a room and it will be standing there staring at me.

I swear we are not putting him like this. I guess Matt could be to mess with me now that I think about it.

I went to say bye to Sam one morning and the stupid chipmunk was standing right there staring at me. It looks evil. LOL

Just thought I would try this

So I just started to look at other peoples blogs and I thought why not. I love the fact that facebook keeps me in contact with a lot of my family from all over the country  but I thought this would be a good way for them and anybody else that doesn't have facebook to see what I do with my life. I don't do a whole lot but this year has started the beginning of some changes.

I started a new career and have a job which started a week ago. I became a medical assistant and am working at a pediatric office and I couldn't be happier. I love it and I still get to work with kids which has always been my passion.

Me and Matt are slowly starting the process of buying a house. Now that I have a job again I can finally start saving it's exciting.

Our dog Sam has had a rough few weeks. We found out New Years Eve that he had a cancerous tumor on his shoulder and we had it removed. As of now the cancer is all gone which is great. We just have to keep a close eye on any new lumps and bumps. He also had his 9th birthday.

Now my life will consist of working, losing weight which I need some major motivation with... hint hint..... and waiting for summer to come so we can go jeeping, hiking, swimming at the lake and just having a great time.
